Basic Guidelines
Letters
Uppercase letters are utilised.
"Or" And "For"
The conjunction "or" and the preposition "for" usually are not used.
Hyphens
Hyphens in compound words will not be regarded punctuation marks. Use hyphenated words when a Standard NAME, for example HEATER-GENERATOR UNIT, applies to an item with combined functions.
Spelling
The latest edition of Webster's International Dictionary (unabridged) would be the authority for spelling and definition of words. For those words with dual or a number of definitions, reference to Federal Handbook H6AB will take precedence in the event it's a government contract.
